Soon as Possible and Enjoy it!

If you're going to be a teacher, then what's the point in being mediocre when you can be great? Do great teachers enjoy teaching? Of course they do -- that's because the process of being a great teacher is really enjoyable. In this talk, Dennis Sale distilled much psychological theory down to core essential cognitive and behavioural rules, and showed how one could be a great teacher as soon as possible. And enjoy it.
Mr Sale is presently section head of educational development at the Singapore Polytechnic. He has worked extensively in the area of developing "Quality in Teaching" and has been personally involved in the training and assessment of over 1,500 teaching and training professionals from diverse vocational and cultural backgrounds. He has developed a model for promoting thinking in the curriculum, which is internationally published and is presently being implemented in many educational institutions in several countries in Asia and the UK. His current area of interest is creative teaching with a view to developing a practical and valid framework for developing staff competency in this challenging area.
